Good afternoon friends & family,
We’d like to remind everyone that the Pueblo of Acoma Governor’s Office and all Pueblo of Acoma departments will be CLOSED tomorrow, September 02, 2015.
We will be celebrating a day dedicated to our patron St. Stephen and we’d like to extend our invitation to you and your family. Please stop by Old Acoma to enjoy dances, feast food, and local arts and crafts. Mass will start at 8:00am and end at 9:00am. Dances will follow the procession of mass.
We’d like to remind our guests to please be aware of your speed when entering/ exiting the reservation and watch out for pedestrians/ vendors on the side of the road at Old Acoma.
Thank you for your cooperation and again, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating our annual feast day.
It’s that time of the year again. The 14th Annual Tour de Acoma is almost upon us and we’re looking for volunteers to help us make this year another successful race! Tour De Acoma is the Haak’u Museum’s biggest fundraiser event of the year and volunteers are key to getting riders their packets, keeping them on course, and providing them with good ol’ H2O and snacks. This year’s race is scheduled for September 20, 2015!
If you are interested in volunteering in this year’s TDA please contact Stephanie Riley at (505) 552-7862 or visit tourdeacoma.com to sign up.
As always, all volunteers will receive a TDA Race shirt!
Stephanie V. Riley
Haak’u Museum Assistant Curator
How awesome are these beautiful young children?! They built a mini replica of the San Esteban del Rey Church at Acoma Pueblo with the new KaBOOM! Imagination Portable Playground they recently received! Check out other creations these children have been working on together at the Acoma Community Center.
The Pueblo of Acoma Administration Office will be CLOSED tomorrow, July 03, 2015. The Administration Office will resume regular office hours Monday, July 06, 2015. Please remind family and friends!
We wish you and your family a fun and safe 4th of July weekend!
